RAIN Eugene / RAIN Eugene Accelerator

Fast forward your vision.

Great companies do not happen in a vacuum — they require a community of dedicated mentors,
inspired peers and access to resources and work space. That’s where we can help.

As an entrepreneur, your ability to find and sell to prospective customers is critical to the early success of your company. It impacts your ability to raise capital, recruit a team, and develop partnerships. But selling is a science that can seem difficult and unnatural. You’re not sure how to adjust your messages or tactics, or how to verify if they are even working.

For this reason, we help you focus on developing the skills you need to sell your product. Through an intense, four month collaborative process, the RAIN Eugene Accelerator provides everything you need to drive consistent revenue for your company, including customer-validated pitch materials, a tested business plan, and a strategy for the future.

We equip founders with the tools they need to succeed.

Our sixteen-week program focuses on developing the three most important components of a successful company: the people, the product and the plan.

Things are really hopping at Cognitopia, and to put it really simply, we wouldn’t be where are if we hadn’t done the RAIN Eugene program. We really needed the kind of intensive structure for working on our business that RAIN provided.
Tom Keating, Cognitopia
After the first week, we realized why people rave about the RAIN Eugene accelerator. Without RAIN, our company wouldn’t have had access to the mentors and resources that became integral to our success.

People.

Good people make the decisions that create successful companies. We focus on two goals: creating a team that works and learns together and building a company that listens closely to the needs of its customer base.  In the first phase of the program, teams learn to better communicate their core value proposition and define their product offering, and learn techniques for disciplined gathering of customer feedback.

Product.

A strong company serves its base by delivering a quality product that serves the needs of its customers. Participating companies conduct market research and get out of the building to meet potential customers.  Techniques for doing comprehensive analysis of market segmentation, distribution, and solution stack analysis help founders determine where the best opportunities exist.  Using the Business Model Canvas, teams look deeply at their business model and determine the best way to structure their venture for success.

Plan.

Innovative companies are always looking ahead. They find creative solutions to issues before they even arise. The final part of our program is creating a detailed operations plan to turn your vision into reality.  Teams are coached to create a compelling presentation in preparation for raising capital and prepare a plan of attack for the year following the accelerator session.
